Based in Salford, this role will support operations across the North West and North Wales, overseeing site teams and ensuring safe, high-quality delivery on a range of surfacing schemes.We have gangs based in Merseyside, Wigan, Manchester and Ruthin meaning this role offers great accessibility for candidates across North West England as well as Gwynedd, Denbighshire and Flintshire in North Wales.??What Youll Be DoingAs our Road Surfacing Supervisor, you'll be at the heart of our site operations, responsible for leading people, delivering excellence, and driving day-to-day success.Your role will include:Managing surfacing schemes across both the motorway and local road networksLeading daily briefings and maintaining strong on-site presence with Team Leaders and OperativesCompleting all site paperwork and admin in line with our Business Management SystemEnsuring works are delivered to the highest standard and meet contract specificationsIdentifying any variations and reporting them to the Surfacing Manager / Quantity SurveyorOptimising cost control and operational efficiency, working to agreed budgetsMotivating, developing and supporting teams to deliver exceptional performanceEnsuring Health & Safety standards are upheld at all timesBuilding and maintaining positive customer relationships??What Were Looking ForYoull bring experience from the surfacing, highways or construction environment, along with the confidence and leadership skills to manage people, performance and safety.Were ideally looking for someone who:Has a CSCS cardHolds SMSTS (or minimum SSSTS)Has hands-on experience of asphalts, blacktop and road layingwith knowledge of the Specification for Highways Works and British Standards.Has ideally worked on project work, including motorway schemesHas experience in supervising and developing teamsCommunicates clearly at all levels, internally and externallyIs knowledgeable about Health & Safety protocolsCan work flexibly, including night shifts and some weekendsWorks well independently and as part of a wider teamIs self-motivated, proactive and committed to delivering high standards??Why Tarmac?Were committed to building a dynamic, diverse and inclusive workplace - one where your background, skills and ideas are valued.
