Road Freight Forwarder - Tamworth - Up to £33,000

Our client are seeking an experienced and motivated Freight Forwarding Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of transport and global logistics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multi-modal shipments in a fast-paced environment.

Hours: Monday to Friday - 09:00 - 17:30

Salary: Up to £33,000

• Manage and process road and air freight shipments.
• Book shipments with shipping lines, agents, and hauliers.
• Provide exceptional customer service, including tracking shipments and providing client updates.
• Handle customs clearance processes for both import and export shipments.
• Create customer orders, negotiate rates, and manage invoicing.
• Maximize profit margins across shipments and key accounts.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Ensure all tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and within tight deadlines.

• Experience in freight forwarding operations in Road freight for a UK based forwarder (essential).
• Experience in Air freight forwarding (desirable).
• Knowledge of customs clearance processes
• Strong understanding of transport and global logistics.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive rates.
• High level of organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong IT literacy and competency across common systems.
