A fantastic chance that has oversight on one of the largest pension schemes in the UK, this is a key Risk Manager position within a large, well-established pension scheme, where strong operational risk management genuinely matters.


Sitting close to senior leadership, you’ll shape how operational risk is identified, challenged, and managed across a complex, outsourced operating model. This is a role for someone who understands that good risk enables better decisions and has strong pensions knowledge.


You will:

  • Own and evolve the operational risk framework
  • Lead RCSAs, KRIs, incident management, and control testing
  • Take responsibility for third-party and outsourcing risk
  • Provide clear, credible risk insight and challenge to senior stakeholders
  • Support regulatory obligations across financial services and data protection


You'll bring:

  • A strong operational risk or controls background in financial services
  • Good working knowledge of pension schemes is desirable
  • Experience embedding frameworks that work in practice
  • Confidence influencing senior stakeholders and committees
  • The ability to translate complex risk into clear, commercial language
  • A pragmatic, proactive approach with strong professional judgement
