Risk & Compliance Manager | Mayfair (W1S) | £60,000 + with hybrid working


A well-established law firm based in Mayfair is seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Manager to join its team. This is a senior-level role suited to someone who can operate independently, provide pragmatic advice, and contribute to the firm’s commercial objectives.


You will take ownership of the firm’s risk and compliance framework, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements while supporting the business in managing risk effectively. The role requires a confident professional who can engage with stakeholders at all levels and balance technical compliance with commercial awareness.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain the firm’s compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards
  • Act as a key point of contact for risk and compliance queries across the firm
  • Manage client due diligence processes, including complex matters involving international clients and Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs)
  • Monitor regulatory developments and implement necessary changes
  • Support audits, file reviews, and internal training on compliance matters
  • Advise on AML, KYC, and broader regulatory obligations


About You:

  • Proven experience in a senior risk and compliance role within a law firm
  • Strong knowledge of SRA regulations, AML, and KYC requirements
  • Experience handling international clients and PEP-related risk assessments
  • Commercially minded with the ability to provide practical, business-focused solutions
  • Able to work autonomously and manage competing priorities effectively
