Role overview:
The role sits within the firm’s London based RFP Team. The primary function of the team (and this role) is the production of high quality requests for proposals (RFPs), due diligence questionnaires and responses to general enquiries for information regarding the firm and their products. The team supports their EMEA and Latin America distribution efforts as well as requests from global sales teams as relates to products and investment vehicles managed from their UK office. The overall goal of the team is to be responsive, accurate, and expedient to ensure a high calibre of service to clients and internal stakeholders. The team works closely with multiple internal departments and across global offices to help achieve the goals and sales targets of the business.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce high quality, requests for proposals (RFPs) and due diligence questionnaires which are compelling to read, accurately reflect specialist investment capabilities across a wide range of asset classes and which ultimately contribute to the firm’s asset gathering success.
- Write, review, edit and co-ordinate other new business-related content, including the provision of ad-hoc data to address ongoing enquiries from prospective and existing clients.
- Alongside other team members take ownership of RFP content, seeking to maximise efficiencies across the group, and always be willing to explore new solutions for managing and delivering RFP best practice.
- Actively help manage the team’s workflow and ensure the pipeline of ongoing RFPs/DDQs is accurately updated and maintained.
- Ensure all RFPs and due diligence questionnaire receive appropriate signoffs prior to issuance.
- Develop close business relationships and credibility with internal stakeholders and local experts across global offices and affiliated businesses
- Adhere to procedures, including compliance and other regulatory processes.
Skills & Experience:
- Prior asset management experience, ideally a few years within an RFP role but could be from another support function e.g. client reporting, operations.
- A demonstrable knowledge of investment asset classes, products and interest in capital markets
- Very strong attention to detail to ensure all materials are accurate, compliant and relevant procedures are followed
- Excellent communication and administrative skills
- Strong team orientation but also the ability to work highly independently
- Works in a highly organised and agile way, with an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Additional European languages, particularly French, would be a distinct advantage
