You will act as an expert adviser, ensuring fairness in reward practices and supporting senior leaders in making informed pay decisions.

We’re currently working on several innovative projects to develop and future-focus reward at Skipton – so now is an exciting time to join our team and really be part of something!

Who Are We?

Not just another building society. Not just another job. We are the fourth biggest building society in the UK, and what makes us a bit different is that we're a mutual organisation. We don't have shareholders; we're owned by our members.

Our colleagues say Skipton's a great place to work, and you could be one of them, bringing with you new ideas on how we can keep customers at the heart of what we do.

Whatever your background, and whatever your goals, we'll help you take the next step towards a better future.

What Will You Be Doing?

As a key member of the Reward Team, you will collaborate with senior stakeholders to shape and deliver both short- and long-term Reward Strategies. You will lead the design, implementation and management of reward and benefit schemes, ensuring broader alignment with our people strategy and fair pay principles.

You will have the opportunity to:

  1. Lead in Job Evaluation for the organisation using WTW job evaluation technology.
  2. Lead the design and execution of reward strategies including pay frameworks, benefits, and bonus schemes.
  3. Partner with senior leaders to align reward initiatives with business needs.
  4. Effectively communicate and promote Total Reward offerings throughout the organisation.
  5. Provide expert advice on reward policies, job evaluation and role grading.
  6. Support annual reward activities, including salary surveys, and continually enhance the benefits offering.
  7. Drive continuous improvement across reward processes, ensuring compliance and alignment with the People Strategy.
