We're working with a leading contract catering provider to recruit an exceptional Retail Head Chef for a flagship, high-profile corporate site in the City of London. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a multi-counter, chef-led food operation, delivering a vibrant retail offer alongside a busy hospitality and fine dining service. The Role As Retail Head Chef, you'll lead the culinary direction across seven diverse food counters, championing creativity while maintaining tight operational and financial control. You'll work closely with senior hospitality and fine dining chefs to ensure seamless service delivery across the wider operation. This role offers real autonomy, influence, and the chance to shape menus that reflect current food trends while meeting the expectations of a demanding corporate client.

Key Responsibilities Create and deliver weekly menus across seven chef-led retail counters Showcase street food, modern European, Asian, and global cuisines Drive seasonality, sustainability, and locally sourced ingredients Manage food costs, GP, stock control, and financial performance Lead, train, and develop a high-performing kitchen team Support hospitality and fine dining operations to ensure consistent standards Maintain exceptional food quality, hygiene, and health & safety compliance Continually evolve the food offer in line with trends and customer feedback About You Proven experience as a Head Chef, Group Chef, or Senior Chef within a retail, multi-counter, or high-volume food environment Strong culinary knowledge across street food, modern European, Asian, and world cuisines Commercially astute with solid experience in menu costing and food cost control A confident leader with a track record of developing and motivating teams Creative, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-expectation setting What's On Offer Salary of £60,000 per annum Flagship site with strong food credentials Creative freedom and real input into menu direction Supportive senior leadership and structured backing Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Interview Process Initial panel interview Skills test, cook-off, and working interview (with a focus on team engagement) Financial review Client presentation
