We are currently seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to be the welcoming face of our restaurant and help set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Job Description: As a Host or Hostess at Itihaas, you will be the first and last point of contact for our guests. Your role is essential in creating a positive first impression and ensuring smooth and efficient front-of-house operations. You will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting and seating guests, and supporting the team in maintaining a welcoming and organized environment. Responsibilities: Greet guests warmly and professionally as they arrive.

Manage reservations and walk-ins using our booking system.

Efficiently seat guests to optimize table availability and flow.

Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the reception and waiting area.

Provide accurate wait time estimates and handle guest inquiries courteously.

Coordinate with the service team to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Monitor the dining room to anticipate guest needs and provide support as needed.

Assist with special requests or guest accommodations with care and professionalism.

Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.

Qualifications: Previous experience in a host/hostess or customer-facing role is preferred.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

A warm, outgoing personality with a professional appearance.

Ability to remain calm and organized during busy periods.

Familiarity with reservation systems is a plus.

Knowledge of Indian cuisine is an asset, but not required.

Must be legally eligible to work in the country.

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
