Were looking for a Restaurant & Bar Manager to lead the floor at Templaran independent wine bar and restaurant in Stratford Cross, East London. Templar is a modern, relaxed dining space built around a curated, accessible wine list and seasonal British & European cooking , with a charcoal oven at the heart of the kitchen. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in independent hospitalitysomeone who cares about service, product, and people in equal measure . About us Templar is a contemporary wine bar and restaurant focused on: Seasonal, produce-led cooking A rotating list of interesting, accessible wines Relaxed but highly attentive service Warm & welcoming Hospitality A convivial, design-led space in Stratfords growing cultural district Were independently run, and building something long-termthoughtful, quality-driven, and commercially sharp. The role Youll take ownership of the day-to-day running of the restaurant, working closely with the founders and kitchen team. Key responsibilities include: Leading service on the floor and setting the tone for the guest experience Managing, training and developing a small FOH team Driving a strong, knowledgeable wine and food culture Overseeing rotas, labour control and service standards Maintaining high levels of consistency, energy and attention to detail Supporting recruitment and building a strong, positive team culture Overseeing the care of the premises and fulfilling statutory duties What were looking for Proven experience as a Senior Manager. Background in quality-led, independent or premium casual restaurants A genuine interest in wine (confidence in discussing and selling is essential) Strong floor presence and natural leadership style Commercial awareness and ability to run a tight, efficient operation Calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure Strong IT skills Be a Personal Licence Holder.
