Salary:MPS/UPS (dependant on experience) Hours of work:Full timeContract type:Fixed-term, until August 2027A bit about us:Frogwell Primary School is seeking to appoint a dedicated, compassionate and skilled Teacher to work within our Complex Needs Resource Base.This role offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to inclusive education and making a meaningful difference to the lives of pupils with complex special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).All about the role:The successful candidate will teach and support pupils within the schools Complex Needs Resource Base, working closely with the SENCo, specialist staff, teaching assistants and external professionals to provide high-quality, personalised learning experiences.You will:Deliver high-quality teaching tailored to pupils with complex SENDPlan and implement personalised learning programmes linked to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomesSupport pupils development across communication, independence, emotional regulation and social skillsCreate a safe, structured and nurturing learning environmentWork collaboratively with a skilled team of teaching assistantsLiaise effectively with parents/carers and external agenciesMonitor and assess pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and SEND processesPromote high expectations for learning, behaviour and wellbeingWe Are Looking For Someone Who:Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degreeHas experience delivering high-quality teaching in a primary settingIs committed to inclusive practice and supporting pupils with SENDCan adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning, communication and sensory needsHas strong behaviour management and a calm, nurturing approachWorks effectively as part of a collaborative teamHas high expectations for pupil progress and wellbeingBuilds positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and familiesExperience or Training in the Following Would Be Particularly Valuable:Teaching pupils with complex SENDSupporting pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)Autism support strategiesAugmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) or visual communication systemsPositive behaviour support or de-escalation approaches (e.g. Team Teach or similar)Working alongside external professionals such as speech and language therapists or occupational therapistsSupporting pupils with sensory or communication needsHowever, we welcome applications from teachers who are passionate about SEND and willing to develop their expertise through professional development.What We OfferA welcoming and supportive school communityA dedicated and experienced SEND teamOpportunities for professional development and specialist SEND trainingA school committed to inclusion, wellbeing and high expectations for all pupilsFrogwell Primary School is an exciting place to work, with a clear vision, strong values, and a commitment to enabling every child to thrive.JBRP1_UKTJ
