Location: Ramsgate

Service Type: Specialist Residential Children's Home for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Organisation: A family-oriented provider with a focus on stability and growth, currently expanding with a second registered home in the local area.

Purpose: To provide a nurturing environment where young people can reach their full potential socially, emotionally, and academically.

Salary and Package Details

Estimated Earnings: £29,692.50 to £37,935 per annum.
Qualified Rate: £13.75 per hour.
Unqualified Rate: £12.25 per hour.
Sleep-in Allowance: £60 per night.
Contract: Full-time, Permanent.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with regular overtime and sleep-ins available.
Holiday: 33 days annual leave plus a birthday bonus day.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Safeguarding: Actively protect and promote the welfare, growth, and development of all children and young people.

Direct Support: Maintain a structured daily routine, helping residents make positive life choices, develop healthy habits, and attend educational sessions.

Domestic Duties: Undertake household tasks and assist young people with their homework and learning.

Documentation: Ensure all record-keeping is accurate, objective, and completed using IT systems.

Professional Standards: Act as an empathetic and non-judgmental role model, maintaining a professional and well-presented manner at all times.

Candidate Requirements

Qualification: A commitment to work toward or currently holding the Level 3 Diploma in Childrens Residential Care.

Experience: Preference for candidates with at least 1 year of experience in a childrens residential setting.

Transport: A full, clean driving licence is required.

Shift Flexibility: Ability to work on a rota basis, including necessary sleep-in shifts.

Core Skills: Good standard of numeracy and literacy (Level 2 or above) and effective communication skills.

Age: Applicants must be at least 22 years of age for regulatory compliance.
