We're Hiring: Resident Engineer Bristol Up to £42,000 per year + Overtime Opportunities

We're looking for a proactive and highly skilled Resident Engineer to join our team in Bristol. If you're someone who enjoys working independently and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What you'll be doing: ✔️ Maintaining and managing site operations, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards ✔️ Performing routine checks, inspections, and repairs on electrical or mechanical systems ✔️ Operating as the sole engineer on site, taking full ownership of all tasks ✔️ Liaising with mobile engineers and Technical Supervisors for support when necessary ✔️ Maintaining and troubleshooting equipment as required ✔️ Ensuring all health, safety, and compliance requirements are met ✔️ Occasionally working evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, with overtime paid at enhanced rates ✔️ Acting as the main point of contact for all on-site engineering queries

What we're looking for: * Multi-skilled engineer with either an electrical or mechanical bias * Strong ability to work autonomously on a single-engineer site * Proactive, reliable, and highly driven with a keen eye for detail * Comfortable working independently, but confident to reach out for support when needed * Excellent communication skills, both with internal teams and clients * Experience in a similar environment, ideally with a background in engineering maintenance

What's on offer: Competitive salary of up to £42,000 per year Full-time position: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:00am - 4:00pm) Overtime opportunities with enhanced rates: 1.5x for evenings & Saturdays, 2x for Sundays and Bank Holidays Support network from mobile teams and supervisors Paid lunch break (engineers are required to remain on-site during lunch) ‍♂️ Opportunity to work autonomously on a single-engineer site, ideal for someone confident in independent roles
