Job Description

Research Manager – Political & Social - Quantitative Research

£50,000 - £60,000 | Hybrid – London | High-Growth Insights Scale-Up

Looking for a role where you’ll own your projects end-to-end, work with high-profile clients, and be part of an innovative, fast-growing research team? This position offers the opportunity to combine hands-on quantitative research with client relationship building, in an environment where new ideas and technology play a central role.

The Opportunity

You’ll join a highly talented and collaborative research team with deep expertise across political, social, and commercial projects. Working alongside colleagues in product, engineering, and commercial teams, you’ll deliver high-impact studies for a range of clients — from NGOs and think tanks to global consumer brands.

This role is ideal if you want to take ownership of the full research process, from design to delivery, while helping to shape the evolution of tools, methods, and processes in a modern research environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing multiple projects end-to-end, including questionnaire design, survey programming, fieldwork management, analysis, and reporting
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients, keeping them informed, answering queries, and delivering clear, actionable insights
  • Designing and interpreting political opinion polls, as well as broader social and commercial research
  • Supporting proposal writing and capability presentations for prospective clients
  • Mentoring junior team members and contributing to process improvements
  • Exploring new approaches and tools, including AI-enabled methods, to enhance research delivery

What They’re Looking For

  • Around four years’ experience in social or political quantitative research
  • Skilled in questionnaire design, analysis specification, data table creation, and visualisation
  • Experience in political opinion polling and interpreting results
  • Strong client communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Organised and capable of managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Experience with R or Python is an advantage, as is an interest in AI’s role in research

Why This Role?

  • Full ownership of projects from brief to delivery
  • Opportunity to work with a diverse and high-profile client base
  • Scope to experiment with emerging methodologies and technology
  • Join a growing, collaborative team in a scale-up environment with room to make an impact

If you want a hands-on, client-facing role where your work influences high-profile decisions and you’re encouraged to innovate, this could be a great next step.
