Research and Data Analyst 3-month contract, immediate start London/Hybrid – 2 days in the office c. £45K (equiv) Experienced mixed methods research specialist sought to manage survey research and analysis for organisation specialising in adult social care and public health services. Experience is this sector, or similar, is highly desirable, but public sector mixed methods research experience is essential. We seek a team player with data analysis skills who can write and communicate well, have good organisational abilities, and who can design and deliver surveys and conduct data analysis and draw out and communicate key insights. You will have exceptional data visualisation skills, attention to detail and experience of using analysis software such as Excel and Power BI to create engaging data visualisations to answer specific questions. Whilst you will have the support from the other team members, you will also need to work independently. The successful candidate will be expected to develop new reports, tools and visual representations of data, and intelligence for adult social care and carry out day-to-day ad-hoc requests to meet reporting and other data requirements. You will be responsible for developing and managing insight and impact evaluation surveys, ensuring that robust data quality arrangements are in place for any surveys, collections and resulting analysis and outputs. Knowledge and experience of local government and particularly adult social care would be a bonus, but it is not essential for this role. Using a range benchmarking and survey data and you will be responsible for helping Government understand the challenges faced by the sector. You will design and deliver high-quality analytical, research and data projects and provide professional advice and guidance on interpreting research, data and analysis. Key responsibilities: Contribute to the development, delivery and promotion of data services, including the research and production of reports, work with colleagues to understand their requirements and design research and analytical projects to meet them, deliver research and analytical projects, using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. This may include survey design and distribution, topic guide development, piloting, conducting surveys, analysis of data (numerical or qualitative), writing research reports, producing infographics or data visualisations, promotion of research, and providing advice on the use of findings in media releases, develop networks and partnerships that add value.
