An established, multinational engineering organisation is seeking a Gas Seals Reliability Engineer to join its high-performing UK engineering team. The Role As a Gas Seals Reliability Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting global customers across the full engineering lifecycle - from design and manufacture through to testing and field support . You’ll act as a technical expert, solving real-world challenges and contributing to high-impact, fast-paced projects. This is a highly collaborative position where you’ll work closely with engineering, operations, and commercial teams , while also engaging directly with customers. Key Responsibilities Manage engineering input across gas seal support projects Investigate and analyse in-house test failures, identifying design improvements Perform and interpret engineering calculations and analyses Provide clear technical recommendations to support business and customer decisions Deliver technical presentations to internal stakeholders and external clients Support commercial teams in customer meetings and technical discussions Collaborate with development engineering on bespoke or innovative solutions Work closely with operations to ensure smooth project delivery Use FEA tools and CAD to analyse issues and communicate design modifications Respond to technical queries with detailed and professional solutions About You We’re looking for a proactive and technically strong engineer who enjoys problem-solving and working in a customer-facing environment. You will bring: Experience in a mechanical engineering role Knowledge of rotating equipment or precision engineering Exposure to failure analysis or root cause investigations (highly desirable) Ability to interpret engineering drawings (P&IDs, GA, detailed drawings) Awareness of control systems and instrumentation Strong communication skills and commercial awareness Ability to manage your own workload and deliver to deadlines Confidence in leading or contributing to technical discussions and meetings Experience within the oil & gas sector would be advantageous, but not essential.
