About The RoleRegulatory Support Officer Enviro Crime£27,901 - £28,954 per annum, 37 hours per weekPermanentWitneyMake a difference in your community by helping tackle environmental crime.We have an exciting opportunity for a Regulatory Support Officer to join our Environmental Health and Regulatory Services team, supporting the delivery of services focused on tackling enviro-crime across West Oxfordshire.In this varied and hands-on role, youll play a key part in supporting investigations and enforcement activities, helping to protect the local environment and ensure our communities remain clean, safe, and sustainable.We are looking for a proactive and dependable individual who takes pride in delivering a high standard of work. You will be comfortable building rapport with a wide range of people and be able to approach sensitive or difficult situations with composure and professionalism.Please note you will be required to travel throughout the district therefore access to a vehicle is essential for this role.Key Responsibilities Deal with routine service requests, working within relevant legislation, prescribed policy, procedures and guideline.Ability to undertake field visits/investigations across multiple sites if required.Information gathering following triage, to include initial customer contact, case assessment and/or review.Site visits to support investigations.Maintain fixed penalty notice register for Enviro-crime.To support Officers in their regulatory work.You will need A minimum of 5 qualifications equivalent to NVQ level 2 or GCSE at Grade C/4 or above, must include Maths and English.Ability to build customer relationships.Ability to remain calm and confident when dealing with challenging customers and environments.Ability to resolve routine issues by negotiation. Maintain accurate and up to data records.
