Are you an experienced and passionate leader in residential childcare looking to make a lasting difference? Purple Rocket Recruitment is working exclusively with Voices for Children Limited who is seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to lead one of their childrens residential homes, supporting young people aged 618 who have experienced trauma, neglect, and abuse.

The Role

As a Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance. You will lead and inspire a committed staff team, creating a positive, stable environment where children feel safe, valued, and supported.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring flexibility, dedication, and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.


Key Responsibilities for Registered Manager

Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing care team

Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and statutory requirements

Oversee safeguarding practices and promote a safe, nurturing environment

Manage care planning to meet each childs individual needs

Maintain strong partnerships with external professionals and agencies

Oversee budgets, staffing, and the overall operation of the home

Drive continuous improvement and prepare for inspections


About You

You are a confident and compassionate leader with a strong background in residential childcare. You bring a child-centred approach, resilience, and the ability to inspire others.


You will have:

At least 3 years experience in childrens residential care, including leadership or deputy management

A relevant Level 3/4 qualification in Childrens Residential Care/Children and Young Peoples Workforce

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to achieve within 3 years)

Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted standards, and childrens legislation

Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills

A proactive, solution-focused mindset
