Ribble Recruitment are working with a Children's Home and they are looking for an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager or Deputy Manager to lead their children’s residential home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and support for young people. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Management Provide strong, effective leadership, creating a positive and reflective team culture Manage, supervise, and support staff to deliver high-quality care Lead the home through Ofsted inspections, striving for excellence Safeguarding & Care Ensure the safety and welfare of all children and young people at all times Oversee care planning, safeguarding practices, and placement stability Promote the voice, rights, and participation of young people Regulatory Compliance Act as the Registered Manager under the Care Standards Act 2000 Ensure full compliance with all legislation and statutory guidance Maintain and develop a high-quality, child-centred service Recruitment & Development Lead safer recruitment processes Ensure staff receive induction, supervision, and ongoing training Support continuous professional development across the team Quality Assurance Implement and monitor quality assurance systems Drive continuous improvement and reflective practice Maintain up-to-date policies and procedures Financial & Administrative Oversight Manage budgets effectively and ensure value for money Maintain accurate records and reports Use IT systems effectively for monitoring and compliance Partnership Working Work collaboratively with social workers, education, health professionals, and regulators Represent the home in meetings and external engagements About You We are looking for a passionate and skilled leader who has: At least 2 years’ experience in children’s residential care within the last 5 years At least 1 year’s experience managing or supervising staff Strong knowledge of children’s legislation, xehkeey safeguarding, and regulatory frameworks Proven leadership ability with a focus on staff development and wellbeing Excellent communication and report-writing skills A commitment to trauma-informed and child-centred practice The ability to make sound decisions in complex and challenging situations What We Offer Competitive salary Ongoing professional development and training Supportive leadership and organisational culture Opportunity to shape and develop a high-quality residential service A rewarding role where you can make a lasting impact on young lives Apply Now If you are an experienced leader with a passion for improving the lives of children and young people, we would love to hear from you.
