️ Registered Manager – Small Home, Big Impact (2-bed)

Location: Barnsley

Contract: Full-time, 39 hours/week

Salary: £46,000 – £51,400 with bonuses

We’re looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a warm and welcoming 2-bed children’s home in Barnsley. This is your chance to create a safe, stable and nurturing space where young people can thrive — and to do it with a close-knit team, big vision, and plenty of support.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Day-to-day leadership of a 2-bed children’s home
• Driving positive outcomes for young people and championing their rights
• Leading and developing a team to deliver safe, consistent, high-quality care
• Overseeing safeguarding, records, reports, budgets, inspections and staffing
• Being the point of contact for external partners, professionals and commissioners
• Taking on-call duties (and occasional sleep-ins if needed)

What You’ll Bring

• Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or willing to work towards it)
• Min. 2 years’ experience in children’s residential care, with at least 1 year managing staff
• In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, legislation, and Ofsted expectations
• Confidence in decision-making, problem-solving, and team motivation
• Resilience, flexibility, and a positive, relationship-centred approach
• A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance
