Registered Manager – Children’s Learning Disabilities Home


Newcastle Upon Tyne

£55,000+ (DOE) + Bonus

(£43,000+ for strong Deputy stepping up)


About the Service

We are opening a brand-new, fully refurbished children’s home in a beautiful residential area of Newcastle, designed to provide a safe, nurturing, and high-quality environment for young people with Learning Disabilities (LD). Backed by an established provider with decades of experience supporting children and young people, the service is built around:

This is a rare opportunity to open and shape a service from day one.


The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Manager (or strong Deputy ready to step up) to take full ownership of this new home.

You will:

  • Lead the registration process with Ofsted
  • Build and develop a high-performing staff team
  • Create a safe, stable and nurturing environment
  • Drive positive outcomes for children and young people
  • Embed a strong culture of safeguarding, compliance and quality care


About You

For Registered Manager applicants:

  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager in children’s residential care
  • At least one Good or Outstanding Ofsted inspection
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
  • Safeguarding & compliance
  • Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or working towards)


For Deputy Managers stepping up:

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a Deputy Manager role
  • Strong experience within LD or complex needs settings
  • Confident in:
  • Leading shifts
  • Managing staff
  • Supporting inspections
  • Ready to take the next step into registration
  • Level 3 and or working towards Level 5
