Registered Manager Domiciliary Care

We are an established domiciliary care provider in Hertfordshire with a strong local reputation and a “Good” CQC rating across all areas.

We are now seeking a confident, experienced Registered Manager to take full operational ownership of the service and lead it independently.

This is a senior leadership role. Autonomy, accountability and decisive management are expected.

The Role

The successful candidate will assume full day-to-day operational control of the domiciliary care service, ensuring regulatory compliance, quality standards, team performance and structured governance.

This role requires someone who is comfortable operating independently and making informed decisions without close supervision.

Key responsibilities include:

• Full operational oversight of the service
• Maintaining and strengthening CQC compliance
• Oversight and auditing of care plans and service quality
• Leading, developing and holding staff accountable
• Building and strengthening the internal team structure
• Embedding robust governance and reporting systems
• Monitoring KPIs including care hours, staffing, safeguarding and compliance
• Liaising confidently with local authorities, social services and stakeholders

This is not a “caretaker” position. The appointed Registered Manager will be expected to take ownership, build their own internal structure, and operate with professional independence.

Experience & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Registered Manager within domiciliary care
• Strong track record of maintaining CQC compliance
• Experience stabilising or strengthening service operations
• Confident team leadership and performance management skills
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards)
• Strong organisational and communication skills

Salary & Package

• £50,000 – £53,000 base salary (dependent on experience)
• Up to £5,000 annual performance bonus (linked to compliance, stability and KPIs)
• Genuine operational autonomy
