About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivatedRegistered Managerto lead the opening and ongoing management of abrand-new 3-bed childrens residential home in Solihull.

This home is being developed byqualified clinicians in partnership with a consultancy team, designed to provide atherapeutic, safe, and nurturing environmentfor children withEmotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

As theRegistered Manager, youll be responsible for overseeing registration, compliance, and the creation of a warm, trauma-informed home where young people can heal, grow, and thrive.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead thesetup and Ofsted registrationof a new childrens home, including policy development, recruitment, and staff training.
  • Ensure full compliance withChildrens Homes (England) Regulations 2015andOfsted Quality Standards.
  • Manage daily operations, care delivery, and team performance.
  • Recruit, supervise, and motivate a skilled, compassionate staff team.
  • Act as theRegistered Manager, ensuring safeguarding, quality assurance, and positive inspection outcomes.
  • Build collaborative relationships with local authorities, education, and health professionals.
  • Create a therapeutic, learning-focused culture that promotes the wellbeing of both children and staff.

Requirements

? Minimum2 years experienceas a Registered Manager in a childrens residential home (EBD).
? Proven experiencesetting up and registering new homes with Ofsted.
?Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare(or working towards completion).
? In-depth understanding ofChildrens Homes Regulations,safeguarding, andtrauma-informed care.
? Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
? Emotionally intelligent, resilient, and committed to child-centred care.
