About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead a childrens residential home in Derby supporting young people aged 1217 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) .
Youll be responsible for the day-to-day operations , ensuring full compliance with Childrens Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards . This role requires a compassionate leader who can create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and educationally.

Key Responsibilities
Act as the Ofsted Registered Manager , ensuring all operations meet statutory and regulatory standards.
Oversee care planning, safeguarding, and day-to-day running of the home.
Lead, train, and supervise a motivated care team.
Foster a therapeutic and child-centred culture focused on positive outcomes.
Manage budgets, staffing, and home resources effectively.
Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead , promoting safety and wellbeing.
Build strong partnerships with local authorities, schools, and health professionals.

Requirements
? Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Residential Childcare (or equivalent). ? Minimum 5 years experience in residential childcare, with 2+ years in management . ? Strong understanding of Ofsted , safeguarding , and regulatory frameworks . ? Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. ? Resilient, emotionally intelligent, and committed to child-centred care.
