An established North West provider is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a 3-bed EBD children’s home in Preston.

About the Role

You will take full responsibility for delivering high-quality, compliant, and outcome-focused care, creating a safe and nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Management
• Lead, motivate, and develop the staff team
• Deliver supervision, appraisals, and ongoing training
• Manage rotas and ensure safe staffing levels
• Promote a positive, child-centred culture

• Safeguarding & Compliance
• Ensure full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
• Lead safeguarding practices and respond to incidents
• Prepare for and manage Ofsted inspections
• Maintain accurate, audit-ready records

• Care & Outcomes
• Oversee care planning tailored to each young person
• Drive outcomes in education, wellbeing, and independence
• Promote participation and child voice in decision-making

• Quality & Operations
• Monitor service quality through audits and improvements
• Manage budgets and resources effectively
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-presented home
• Ensure health & safety compliance at all times

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Registered Manager (or Deputy ready to step up)
• Strong knowledge of EBD homes and Ofsted frameworks
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards)
• Demonstrated leadership and team development skills
• Excellent safeguarding and compliance knowledge

Pay range and compensation package

Competitive salary (negotiable based on experience) + Performance-related bonus structure
