Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and committed Registered Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Ofsted-registered children's residential home. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in children s social care and demonstrate a passion for delivering outstanding, trauma-informed care to children and young people with complex needs. This role requires robust leadership, sound knowledge of the Children s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, and the ability to build a positive, safe, and nurturing environment for the young people in our care. Key Responsibilities Provide effective leadership and management of the home, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted standards, legislation, and safeguarding procedures. Develop, implement, and regularly review individualised placement and care plans in collaboration with the child, local authority, families, and professionals. Ensure the physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing of children is prioritised and promoted through structured routines, risk management, and care strategies. Lead and supervise a team of residential staff, providing performance management, reflective supervision, and promoting continuous professional development. Promote a culture of openness, safety, participation, and high aspiration for children, using therapeutic and relational approaches (e.g. PACE). Oversee the home s staffing rotas, training, incident reporting, and ensure robust safeguarding and whistleblowing processes are embedded. Work in partnership with social workers, education providers, health professionals, and families to support positive outcomes for each child.
