:Location:Diss, SuffolkSalary:between £60,000 - £70,000 per annum (DOE)Job Type:Full-Time | PermanentHome:5-bedroom childrens residential homeAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced, compassionate and ambitiousRegistered Managerto lead a new 5-bedroom childrens residential home in Diss, Suffolk, supporting children and young people with learning disabilities and associated additional needs.As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, management and development of the home. You will set the standard for safe, therapeutic and child-centred care, ensuring the service is compliant and focused on achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.This is an opportunity to shape a new home from the ground up, building a stable team, embedding a strong safeguarding culture and creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe, understood and supported.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the day-to-day running of the home and maintain high-quality care practiceRecruit, supervise and develop a capable, values-led residential teamEnsure care planning, risk management and safeguarding arrangements are robust and child-focusedWork effectively with families, social workers, education providers, health professionals and commissionersOversee rotas, staffing levels, quality assurance, incidents, complaints and service improvementSupport children with communication needs, learning disabilities and associated behaviours of concernMaintain clear records, strong standards and readiness for inspection and registration requirementsRequirementsExperience in childrens residential care with a strong understanding of safeguarding and quality standardsExperience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities, autism and/or complex additional needsProven ability to lead, motivate and manage staff effectivelyStrong communication, partnership-working and report-writing skillsConfidence to create a stable, structured and nurturing home environmentSuitable to become, or already registered as, an Ofsted Registered ManagerLevel 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards)DesirablePrevious Registered Manager or Deputy Manager experience within a childrens homeExperience opening or developing a specialist serviceKnowledge of positive behaviour support, trauma-informed practice and person-centred careExperience working alongside education and therapy teamsWhats on OfferOpportunity to lead and shape a new specialist home from the outsetSupportive leadership teamOngoing professional development, supervision and trainingCompetitive salary up to £70,000 depending on experienceA role with meaningful long-term impact for children and young peopleSafeguardingThis organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.All appointments are subject to safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS and references.Apply NowJBRP1_UKTJ
