Location: AbergavennySalary:£36,000 - £45,000 per annumJob Type: Full-Time | PermanentHours: Full-time with on-call responsibilities as requiredAbout the RoleWe are recruiting for a Registered Childrens Home Manager to lead a 4-bed residential home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is a full-time, on-site leadership role responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the home, leading staff teams, and ensuring high standards of care in line with CIW regulations.You will work closely with young people, families, and professionals to provide a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment while maintaining compliance, safeguarding, and positive outcomes for all residents.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the day-to-day operations of a childrens residential homeEnsure high standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory complianceSupervise, support, and develop staff teamsMaintain care plans, risk assessments, and service standardsWork collaboratively with families, professionals, and external agenciesParticipate in on-call duties and flexible working patterns as requiredAttend reviews and care-planning meetingsPromote positive outcomes for children and young peopleRequirementsLevel 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services (or working towards) or Social Work DegreeMinimum 2 years experience supervising and managing staffExperience within a residential childcare settingStrong leadership, communication, and decision-making skillsSound understanding of safeguarding and child protectionFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicleAbility to work flexibly and participate in an on-call rotaGood knowledge of relevant childcare legislationCommitment to training, development, and anti-discriminatory practiceWhats on OfferCareer progression opportunitiesTrauma Recovery Model training and therapeutic working environment£500 bonus upon successful probation28 days annual leave plus up to 5 additional days for long servicePaid induction, DBS, and Social Care Wales registrationReferral bonus scheme45p per mile mileage allowance (when applicable)Funded training and recognised qualificationsCompany pension schemeBirthday day offDouble pay for sleep-ins on selected datesApply now to be considered for this Registered Manager opportunity within a childrens residential care setting.JBRP1_UKTJ
