Impact You Will Have

Based in London and reporting to the Director UK Global & Specialty, you will develop and execute the regional strategy for Large Corporate Property in the UK business. You will manage the Regional Property team and portfolio to achieve global targets, support the global strategy, and serve as the main contact for brokers and clients in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the regional underwriting team, including direct and matrix management.
  • Support development of the Global Underwriting strategy.
  • Steer the regional business portfolio to meet financial targets.
  • Liaise with functional areas to review underwriting performance.
  • Work closely with Market Management, Claims, and other product lines to drive marketing strategies and cross‑selling.
  • Ensure underwriting discipline and adherence to corporate guidelines, authority levels and regulatory frameworks.
  • Support development and implementation of new or modified products.
  • Maintain executive contacts and accompany underwriting of core or strategic accounts.
  • Support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business.
  • Coordinate with local market management to drive execution of the strategic plan.
  • Communicate local business strategy externally.
  • Represent Allianz Commercial internally within the Allianz Group and externally to the market.
  • Drive involvement of Market Management, Risk Consulting and Claims in the underwriting process.
  • Prepare and manage budget within plan.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Law, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in underwriting or pricing profitable Property lines for corporate clients.
  • Expert knowledge of the London market.
  • Strong relationships with UK property brokers in the large corporate segment.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Expertise in risk assessment and policy administration life cycle.
  • Strong market analysis and pricing skills.
  • Knowledge of portfolio management, property reserving, and robust wordings.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an international matrix organisation.
  • Knowledge of integrating AI into business functions.
  • Fluent in English.
