Job Description
Regional Environmental Lead | Southend-on-Sea | Competitive Package
A nationally significant, highly regulated organisation is looking for an experienced environmental professional to lead environmental management across a key UK region.
This role is based primarily at one of the organisation’s most complex operational sites, where environmental performance, compliance, and strong governance are critical.
What you’ll be doing:
• Leading environmental management across the region
• Supporting and maintaining ISO 14001 systems
• Preparing sites for environmental audits and inspections
• Managing environmental assessments and incident reporting
• Advising operational teams on environmental legislation and best practice
• Working closely with leadership and regulators to drive continuous improvement
What they’re looking for:
• Degree or Level 6 Diploma in Environmental Management
• Post-qualification experience in an operational or regulated environment
• Chartered status (or working towards it)
• Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence operational teams
This is a high-impact role where you’ll help shape environmental performance at one of the UK’s most operationally demanding sites, with limited travel beyond the main location.
