Job Description

Refrigeration Engineer – East Midlands\nJoin our clients long-established in-house refrigeration team with decades of expertise, where your work genuinely matters. You’ll play a vital role in keeping stores operational by maintaining and repairing critical refrigeration systems that customers rely on every day.\nOur client is looking for a hands-on refrigeration and air conditioning engineers who enjoy solving problems and working independently.\nIdeally you will have experience in supermarkets, commercial refrigeration, HVAC, transport refrigeration, or chillers\nWhat You’ll Be Responsible For\n * Maintaining and repairing refrigeration assets within key stores\n * \n Display cases, freezers, cold rooms\n * Chillers, packs, condensers\n * \n Diagnosing faults using engineering expertise and monitoring systems\n * \n Completing compliance paperwork accurately and efficiently\n * \n Supporting store operations by reducing downtime and repeat visits\nSkills & Qualifications\n * \n NVQ Level 2/3 (or equivalent experience) in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning\n * \n F-Gas Category 1 certification\n * \n Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills\n * \n Customer-focused mindset and ability to work independently\n * \n Full UK driving licence\nSalary & Package\n * \n 43-45k + £2500 Standby + OT\n * \n Fully-spec’d company van (private use option), fuel card\n * 15% company discount, 30% Individual Restaurants discount.\n * \n Tools, uniform, laptop\n * \n Access to paid parking apps\n * 33 days holiday, increasing with service up to 38 days (including bank holidays)\n * \n Pension and private healthcare\n * \n Generous employee discounts\n * \n Ongoing training, set store allocations, and defined working areas to support work-life balance\n * \n Opt in or opt out of the personal use on the van
