Job Description
Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Service / Maintenance Engineer\n\nSalary: £38,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience)\n Location: Cambridge\n Job Type: Full-time, Permanent\n\n My client is a long-established and successful contractor in commercial refrigeration and air conditioning. They are seeking a proactive, reliable Service & Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a major site in Cambridge.\n\n This role is ideal for an engineer who is confident with planned preventative maintenance and routine service work, with occasional support on reactive breakdowns. \n\n Key Responsibilities\n\nCarry out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF units, water chillers and associated equipment.\nDiagnose faults, repair equipment where possible, or recommend appropriate remedial action.\nComplete all required paperwork and service reports accurately and in a timely manner.\nWork independently or as part of a small onsite team.\nParticipate in the emergency call-out rota (one allocated day per week under the site rota system).\nQualifications\n\n Essential:\n\nCity & Guilds 2079 (F-Gas)\nFull UK Driving Licence\nDesirable:\n\n18th Edition Electrical\nIPAF\nPASMA\nExperience & Skills\n\nGood experience working on a broad range of air-conditioning systems (split, multi-split, VRV/VRF).\nExperience with refrigeration systems, including water chillers.\nStrong fault-finding ability and good general electrical knowledge.\nExcellent communication skills—both customer-facing and written.\nAbility to work independently or as part of a small team.\nBenefits\n\n £38,000 salary (flexibility for strong candidates)\nCompany vehicle and fuel card\nCompany mobile phone\nOvertime opportunities\nGovernment pension scheme\n25 days holiday plus bank holidays\nBUPA Health Insurance\nAdditional Information\n\n You will be working on a large, prestigious site at, supporting a well-organised PPM schedule (six-month cycles).\n\nIf interested, please send a copy of your moist up-to-date CV
