We're seeking an experienced Refractive Optometrist to join their expert team across their prestigious London locations including Knightsbridge, White City, and Harley Street.As a Refractive Optometrist, you'll work alongside some of the most experienced surgeons in the industry, providing comprehensive care to patients seeking freedom from glasses, contact lenses, and reading glasses.What We OfferCompetitive salary: £65,000 - £75,000 per annumWork with industry-leading surgeons and specialistsAccess to cutting-edge technology and proceduresContinuous professional development and training opportunitiesOpportunity to present at professional eventsExperience working across prestigious London locationsAbout the RoleKey Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive pre-operative consultations for suitability assessment for laser surgery, cataract procedures, RLEs, and ICLPerform post-operative consultations and patient follow-up careCarry out diagnostic scanning and provide training to other team membersAnalyse clinical data and diagnostics beyond standard consultationsPrepare detailed clinical reportsHandle patient queries with professionalism and careManage complex patient casesCo-manage patients alongside surgeons, optometrists, and nursing staffEngage in continuous professional development in refractive eye surgery and core ophthalmic skillsWhat We're Looking ForEssential Requirements:Optometrist degree with valid GOC registrationMinimum 2 years' experience in refractive surgeryExperience conducting comprehensive eye examinations and diagnosing vision problemsKnowledge of pre- and post-operative care for refractive surgeriesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong problem-solving and organisational skillsProficiency with clinical databases, MS Word, Excel, email, and internetSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamWhat You'll NeedAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environmentStrong prioritisation skills to manage multiple urgent and important tasksFlexibility regarding duties, working hours, breaks, and working conditionsOpenness to professional growth and taking on greater responsibilitiesExcellent interpersonal skills with a calm, compassionate approach to patient and team interactionsWorking Hours & Location40 hours per weekOperating hours: 08:00 - 20:00, Monday to Sunday (flexible scheduling)Multiple clinic locations across London including Knightsbridge, White City, and Harley StreetThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.BSR Health are a Specialist Healthcare Agency.
