About the Role Our vibrant services in Wigan and Leigh provide support to people concerned about their own or someone else's alcohol or drug use. We have services in both Wigan and Leigh but much of our work is carried out in the local communities we serve. The service is an integrated drug and alcohol service, delivering an asset based community approach to treatment. We specialise in harm reduction and needle syringe provision, psycho social interventions, opioid substitution treatment, referral to detox and community interventions. Our Recovery Workers play a vital role in supporting clients to identify their goals, ambitions, and passions. Youll work with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to guide them on their path to recovery.
This is a frontline role at WithYou, where you will provide continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, key work responsibilities, and intervention delivery. You will manage an active caseload, connecting quickly with clients and ensuring theyre always treated with respect and dignity.
You will work as part of a team with the aims of:
understanding your clients
keeping them safe
creating a plan they can achieve with your support
checking in with them and reviewing their progress
keeping accurate and timely records of your contact with them
working effectively with other social care providers e.g. Housing, to cover all aspects of their successful recovery
continuously learning and reflecting to improve the outcomes for your clients
supporting your colleagues across the service to deliver excellent care

Requirements We'd be excited to see evidence of the following in your application:
Relevant experience in a similar role (such as working in a health and social care, criminal justice setting and/or clear motivations for applying
Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work effectively in a team and/or on their own
