Your new companyA meaningful opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and motivated Recovery Coordinator to join a dedicated multi-disciplinary substance misuse service in West Sussex. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about empowering individuals affected by drug and alcohol use to make sustainable, positive changes in their lives.You will play a key part in supporting people to build resilience, strengthen their recovery capital and work towards living safe, independent and purposeful lives.
Your new roleAs a Recovery Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centred support to a diverse caseload of service users. Your work will include:
Holding and managing your own caseload, providing structured 1:1 key working
Completing assessments, risk assessments and personalised recovery plans
Using motivational, trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches
Coordinating psycho-social interventions, harm reduction and clinical pathways
Making timely referrals to internal teams and external partner agencies
Supporting access to peer support, mutual aid and community-based recovery groups
Maintaining accurate, compliant case records and contributing to service reporting
Working collaboratively with clinicians, partner services, peer mentors and families
Supporting day-to-day service activity such as duty cover, reception and needle exchange (full training provided)
What you'll need to succeedEssential:
Experience supporting individuals affected by substance use, mental health or other complex needs
Strong communication and rapport-building skills
Ability to manage a busy caseload and work independently
Confidence working within multi-agency settings
Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and harm reduction
Strong organisational skills and IT literacy
Commitment to equality, inclusion and person-centred practice
Desirable:
Experience in mental health support
Understanding of recovery communities and community based interventions
