Reed Education are working with a nurturing and community-driven primary school in Croydon to recruit a passionate and dedicated Reception Teacher for a permanent position starting this September.

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Reception Teacher who is passionate about Early Years education and committed to providing the very best start for young learners. You will deliver a high-quality, play-based curriculum that supports children’s development across all EYFS areas and builds their confidence, independence, and curiosity.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, developmentally appropriate EYFS lessons
• Build strong relationships with pupils to support social, emotional, and academic growth
• Assess and track pupil progress against EYFS learning goals
• Maintain an engaging and well-organised classroom setting
• Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to enhance learning
• Contribute to the wider life and values of the school

What We Are Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in Early Years (Reception experience desirable)
• Passion for child-centred, play-based learning
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• A warm, patient, and nurturing approach
• Commitment to professional development and teamwork
