This is a unique opportunity to combine outstanding classroom practice with strategic leadership, guiding the development of our entire Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This role is fundamental in ensuring our 2-year-olds have a successful start to their educational journey, creating a nurturing, stimulating, and high-quality early learning environment where every child can thrive. We are excited to be growing our offer with a brand-new nursery class for 2-year-olds, opening in September 2026 and providing 15 additional term-time places alongside our existing nursery for 3-4-year-olds You will play a key role in shaping our expanding provision, supporting seamless transitions from our new 2-year-old nursery through to Reception, and ensuring the very best foundations for lifelong learning. The Role This is a combined teaching and leadership role where you will: Lead and teach a Reception class, ensuring children develop strong foundations for learning Take overall responsibility for the nursery provision, ensuring high-quality care, learning, and development across both settings Provide strategic leadership across the EYFS, driving consistency, quality, and high expectations Lead, support, and develop the Early Years team to deliver outstanding provision Shape and implement a rich, ambitious Early Years curriculum that meets the needs of all learners Ensure smooth transitions between nursery and Reception, creating continuity in children's learning journeys What We're Looking For An experienced Early Years teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Extensive experience in Early Years education Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire staff A clear vision for high-quality EYFS and nursery provision Excellent understanding of child development in the early years A nurturing, calm, and highly reflective approach to teaching The ability to balance outstanding classroom practice with strategic leadership responsibility If you have the leadership skills and the dedication for early education, apply now to shape the future of our youngest learners!
