Business Manager | Head of Litigation and Employment - Midlands and East Anglia Contact: 07501253648 | rory.brand@simpsonjudge.co.uk Location: Birmingham City Centre Employment type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role A leading national law firm is seeking a Real Estate Dispute Resolution Associate to join its specialist property litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad range of contentious real estate matters for a diverse and high-profile client base. Key responsibilities include:
Advising on landlord and tenant disputes, including lease renewals, dilapidations, forfeiture and service charge issues. Handling development-related matters such as rights of light, easements, restrictive covenants and boundary disputes. Managing possession claims, trespass actions and enforcement work. Drafting pleadings, witness statements and instructions to counsel. Attending hearings, mediations and client meetings. Running your own caseload with appropriate supervision. Assisting senior team members with complex litigation and ADR. Contributing to internal training, know-how development and business development initiatives.
About You You will be a motivated and pragmatic lawyer with a strong interest in real estate disputes. The ideal candidate will have:
Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales, ideally with 2–5 years’ PQE in property litigation. Strong technical knowledge of real estate law and dispute resolution procedures. Experience with County Court and First-tier Tribunal work. Excellent drafting, communication and client-handling skills. Strong organisational ability and attention to detail. A proactive approach and willingness to develop your skills and expertise further.
