This is an exciting opportunity to join a firm recognised for its excellence in property law — working with an impressive client base of landlords, tenants, developers, and investors across both the residential and commercial sectors. You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider real estate and litigation teams to deliver pragmatic, commercial solutions for clients.
Responsibilities:
As a key member of the Real Estate Disputes team, you will advise clients on a broad range of property-related contentious matters, including:
- Breach of covenant disputes — e.g. tenant’s failure to obtain landlord consent (assignment, underletting, alterations) or landlord’s breach of lease obligations.
- Commercial landlord and tenant matters — including break notices, dilapidations, rent reviews, forfeiture, and surrender.
- Business lease renewals (1954 Act).
- Possession proceedings and enforcement actions.
- Dealing with trespass and squatter claims.
- Adverse possession and boundary disputes.
- Nuisance, easement, and prescriptive rights issues.
- Service charge disputes and consultation requirements.
- TOLATA (Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act) claims.
- Rights to light claims and related advisory work.
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor with 5–6 years PQE (Post-Qualified Experience).
- Strong background in real estate disputes across both residential and commercial property.
- Demonstrable experience advising landlords and tenants on complex, high-value matters.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, client-focused environment.
- A proactive and commercial approach to problem-solving.
Salary:
- Competitive salary of £65,000 – £75,000 (DOE).
Benefits:
- Hybrid working structure with flexibility to work remotely.
- Bonus opportunities.
- Excellent career development opportunities within a respected and growing real estate disputes team.
- Supportive and collaborative firm culture with a focus on professional growth.
If you’re an experienced Real Estate Disputes Solicitor looking for a new challenge within a highly regarded firm, this is an outstanding opportunity to take the next step in your career.
