Construction Tutor Location: Mansfield Starting Salary: £15.37 per hour / £27,066 per annum Contract: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, term time (41 weeks per year) About the Role A rewarding opportunity has become available for a passionate and creative Construction Group Tutor to join a vocational education team supporting young peoplemany with additional needsto re?engage with learning through hands?on, practical construction activities. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with young people, enjoys practical teaching, and can bring creativity and flexibility to the learning environment. Youll help learners develop skills in bricklaying, joinery, painting, and a range of other construction disciplines, adapting sessions to make them inclusive, engaging, and innovative. Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver a creative, engaging, and adaptable construction curriculumInspire learners and build their confidence through hands?on activitiesWork collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to support educational, social, and emotional developmentAdvocate for learners and involve them in shaping their own programmesPrepare and deliver schemes of work, lesson plans, assessments, and progress reportsMaintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and risk managementAct as a positive role model, promoting resilience, engagement, and achievementContribute to the development of innovative construction teaching techniquesExperienceMinimum Level 1 qualification in a construction?related disciplineExperience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults (experience with additional needs is an advantage)A creative, adaptable approach to learning and engagementStrong communication skills and confidence using ICT (including Google applications)Understanding of safeguarding, data protection, and safe working practicesFull UK driving licence, access to a roadworthy vehicle, and business insuJBRP1_UKTJ
