Job Title: R&D Tax Manager We are looking to recruit a talented R&D Tax Manager to join our expanding Corporate Tax team at Bishop Fleming. You will advise clients on R&D Tax Relief, deliver excellent service, and help shape our R&D services. Key Responsibilities
Working with clients to identify opportunities for R&D tax relief based on their innovative technology activities. Collaborating with tax specialists to gather activity details and qualifying expenditure for robust R&D claim reports for HMRC submissions. Serving as an ambassador and key contact for R&D Tax Advisory services, supporting and coaching colleagues. Promoting and role‑modeling Bishop Fleming’s services, integrating R&D advice with the firm’s broader offerings. Leading training and development of the wider tax team. Participating in delivering other tax advisory and compliance services. Shaping responsibilities based on experience and career motivations.
Qualifications
Proven track record of delivering R&D Tax Relief claims of varying complexity, ideally in a full‑service accountancy firm or specialised R&D practice. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with senior stakeholders. People‑management experience with coaching and development of teams. Strong project‑management skills. ACA or CTA qualification. Desire to help shape Bishop Fleming R&D Tax Services proposition and build local market presence. Additional accounting, tax compliance or advisory experience is beneficial.
