Radiographer | The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust
New Today
The Radiology department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn is looking to appoint enthusiastic individuals to a band 5 Radiographer position.
As a Diagnostic Radiographer, you play a vital role in patient pathways, ensuring compassionate care and supporting timely diagnoses. Whether providing skilled image acquisition or undertaking advanced clinical tasks, this role makes a difference.
Newly qualified radiographers will receive support and development through a preceptorship programme, supported by the senior team and practice educators.
You will participate in 7-day working across the QEH and Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) sites, including Out of Hours (OOH) imaging services. You will work independently as an Autonomous Practitioner, accountable for your professional actions, and adhere to all relevant legislation, department rules, and protocols.
You will also supervise student radiographers and apprentices under the guidance of the Practice Educator. A current CPD portfolio and willingness to undertake regular audits are required.
The successful candidate will participate fully in the OOH rota, including night and weekend duties, and be flexible with shift patterns to meet staffing and training needs.
Join us during an exciting period of development, including building a new state-of-the-art hospital opening in 2030 and implementing a major digital transformation with a new electronic patient record system from 2026, enhancing patient care.
Our services cover acute, obstetrics, and community-based care for around 331,000 people across west and north Norfolk, North Cambs, and South Lincs. We are committed to kindness, wellness, and fairness, with a focus on continuous quality improvement, as reflected in our 2024 CQC 'Good' rating for maternity services.
We pride ourselves on offering a supportive community atmosphere, with recognition and rewards for our 4,000 staff and volunteers. Our facilities include 530 beds across 33 wards, modern training centers, and award-winning centers, all with a talented team eager to welcome you.
We love working here and believe you will too.
Please refer to the attached Job Description and Person Specification for further information. The closing date for applications is Thursday, 28 August 2025.
