Quantity Surveyor\n\nSector: Shop Fitting / Interior Fit-Outs\n Location: Midlands (with regional travel)\n\nStatus: Temporary (3 months minimum with PERM opportunity potential)\n\nRole Overview\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team, delivering commercial management across shop fitting and interior fit-out projects throughout the Midlands. The role involves full commercial responsibility from pre-contract through to final account, working closely with project managers, clients, and supply chain partners.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPrepare and manage cost plans, budgets, and cash flows for fit-out projects\n\nProduce tender packages, analyse returns, and place sub-contract orders\n\nManage valuations, variations, and change control\n\nCarry out monthly cost reporting and forecasts\n\nNegotiate sub-contractor accounts and final accounts\n\nPrepare and submit client valuations and final accounts\n\nEnsure projects are delivered within agreed budgets and margins\n\nAttend site meetings and liaise with project and site teams\n\nSupport commercial best practice and risk management\n\nRequirements\n\nProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within shop fitting or interior fit-out projects\n\nStrong understanding of commercial management and construction contracts\n\nExperience working on fast-track, multi-site, or retail projects preferred\n\nExcellent numerical, negotiation, and communication skills\n\nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously\n\nProficient in Microsoft Excel and standard QS software\n\nFull UK driving licence\n\nDesirable\n\nRelevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction\n\nExperience working with retail clients and tight programmes\n\nKnowledge of JCT contracts\n\nWhat We Offer\n\nCompetitive salary (dependent on experience)\n\nCompany car or car allowance\n\nPension and benefits package\n\nOpportunity to work on varied, high-quality fit-out projects\n\nCareer progression within a growing business\n\nTo apply please contact (url removed) with an up to date CV
