Quantity Surveyor

Our long-standing manufacturing client in Bolton is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.
They deliver complex projects across nuclear, oil & gas, defence, marine, industrial, pharmaceutical, architectural and water sectorsoffering varied and technically challenging work.
Overview:
Manage all commercial aspects of projects from tender through to final account
Monitor programmes to identify delays and entitlement to time
Administer contract changes, ensuring timely notices and agreement with clients and subcontractors
Manage subcontractor relationships, procurement and accounts in line with procedures
Support Project Managers to ensure cost, quality and delivery targets are met
Prepare and submit applications for payment, monitor cash flow and resolve financial issues
Produce monthly reports including CVRs, cashflow forecasts, WIP and earned value analysis
Maintain accurate contract documentation and ensure compliance with procedures
Attend project and commercial meetings and support wider business functions including estimating
Essential Requirements:
5+ years experience in a main contracting or project delivery environment
HND/Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying
Strong commercial management and subcontract procurement experience
Good knowledge of JCT / NEC / IChemE contracts and Construction Law
Experience with reporting, cost analysis, applications, claims and final accounts
Strong communication, organisation xbpsjku and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
