We are recruiting an Interim Quantity Surveyor for a leading Social Housing provider based in Nottingham, supporting commercial and property services across the local region on a 6-month contract.As an Interim Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing costs, valuations, and financial performance across a range of housing projects, ensuring value for money and compliance with contractual obligations. This is a great opportunity to join a busy, customer-focused organisation and make an immediate impact.Whats on offer:Rate: £45 £50 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)Contract: 6-month interim assignment (potential for extension)Working pattern: Full-time (3740 hours per week)About the Company:Our client is a well-established Social Housing group managing a large portfolio of residential properties across Nottingham and the surrounding areas. They are committed to delivering high-quality homes, maintaining strong financial control, and providing excellent services to their tenants and communities.Key responsibilities include:Managing cost estimates, budgets, and financial reporting across multiple projectsPreparing tender and contract documentation and supporting procurement processesValuing works and managing interim and final accounts with contractorsMonitoring project costs and identifying risks or opportunities to ensure cost efficiencySupporting contract administration and ensuring compliance with contractual termsWorking closely with project managers, contractors, and stakeholdersHandling variations, change control processes, and dispute resolution where requiredEnsuring accurate record-keeping and financial tracking using internal systemsSupporting the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance programmesThe successful Interim Quantity Surveyor will have:Proven experience in a similar Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within Social Housing or public sector projectsA recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline (HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent)Strong knowledge of cost management, contracts, and procurement processesExperience managing contractor relationships and financial negotiationsGood understanding of Health & Safety and compliance requirementsExcellent analytical, communication, and organisational skillsAbility to work independently and manage a busy workloadStrong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and relevant commercial systemsThis role would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor available at short notice, looking for an interim opportunity within a reputable Social Housing organisation.
