Location: Coventry or DerbyWorking Pattern: HybridContract Length: 6–12 monthsStatus: Inside IR35Role Objective Work closely with the Project Management function across multiple projects or single large-scale projects, providing both pre- and post-contract commercial expertise.Be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from inception and design through to completion and final account settlement. Key Accountabilities Negotiate and finalise work orders, prices and commercial terms with contractors.Develop and write sourcing and authorisation reports for projects and work packages.Draft and support contract awards for ECI, ECC and PSC contracts.Administer contracts, supporting the Project Manager in assessing and issuing contractual notifications.Assess contractor applications for payment in line with contractual terms and conditions.Negotiate contractual and cost issues and support the change control process.Run tenders and commercial negotiations.Validate, test and challenge project costs.Complete monthly cost and value reports using the appropriate internal systems.Ensure contract administration is delivered in accordance with main contract requirements to support the project/commercial strategy.Agree final accounts.Develop effective working relationships with members of the project management team.Understand risk and identify the implications of actions taken by yourself and the wider project team.Ensure full compliance with commercial processes and governance. Experience To succeed in this role, you should have: Experience within the water sector (desirable), although candidates from Rail, Highways, Utilities, Infrastructure or other major engineering/construction sectors will also be considered.Experience working with the NEC suite of contracts.Ability to support project teams on contractual matters.Experience managing claims and dispute resolution.Experience of change control processes.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills. Qualifications Essential Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a similar discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.Full UK driving licence.
