It provides a supportive and dynamic environment where professionals can excel.\n\nThe Role\n\nThe company is seeking a skilled QS, either at project surveyor or assistant level, to join its friendly and professional commercial team in Exeter.

Your new role will involve overseeing the financial and contractual management of multimillion pound projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to exceptional standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nPreparing and managing project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts\n\nConducting cost analysis and financial risk assessments\n\nAdministering contracts, including JCT and NEC forms, ensuring full compliance\n\nNegotiating with subcontractors and suppliers to secure cost-effective agreements\n\nPrepareing interim valuations, variations, and final accounts\n\nCollaborating with project teams to monitor progress and address commercial challenges\n\nDelivering accurate cost reporting and forecasting to senior management\n\nEnsuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations\n\nAbout the Candidate:\n\nIdeally you'll hold or be working towards a degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline\n\nExperience in commercial project delivery sectors such as health and education\n\nPossess strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts\n\nExhibit strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills\n\nProficient in in cost management software \n\nWork effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team\n\nHold a full UK driving licence \n\nHave RICS qualification or be actively working towards it (desirable)\n\nWhat the Company Offers:\n\nA competitive salary with a comprehensive benefits package, including pension and healthcare\n\nOpportunities for career advancement within a Tier 1 contractor\n\nSupport for professional development and achieving chartership\n\nA collaborative and inclusive workplace culture\n\nThe opportunity to contribute to multimillion-pound, community-focused projects\n\nLocation:\n\nExeter, with occasional travel to project sites across the South West.\n\nO’Neill and Brennan values and promotes equality, All individuals will be treated in a fair and equal manner and in accordance with the law regardless of , marital status, , religion, , , or
