Temporary Quantity SurveyorLocation: Site-based / Hybrid - Birkenhead (Liverpool)Contract: Temporary / Contract 2 days a weekRate: Competitive (DOE)Duration: Project-based (612 months)The RoleWe are recruiting a Temporary Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of water treatment works construction projects. Working on the contractor side, you will play a key role in cost control, valuations, and subcontract management across live infrastructure schemes.Projects may include new build, refurbishment, and upgrade works within a regulated water environment, covering civil, mechanical, electrical, and process elements.Key ResponsibilitiesManage project costs, budgets, and forecastsPrepare interim valuations and cost/value reportsMeasure works and value variations and change eventsAssess and process subcontractor applications for paymentSupport procurement and management of subcontract accountsAssist with final accounts and commercial close-outWork closely with site teams, engineers, and project managersMaintain accurate commercial records and reportingWhat Were Looking ForEssential:Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in constructionContractor-side experience on utilities, water, or infrastructure projectsStrong understanding of commercial and cost control processesAbility to work on live construction sitesExcellent numerical and communication skillsDesirable:Experience on water or wastewater treatment worksFamiliarity with NEC forms of contractBackground in civils, MEICA, or process plant constructionRelevant qualification (HNC/HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar)Whats On OfferCompetitive day rateLong-term contract potential on major water frameworksOpportunity to work on critical infrastructure projectsSupportive commercial and project teamsInterested?
