Quantity Surveyor – NEC4 Option C (Target Cost) Outside IR35 | £400+ per day Aldermaston, Reading Hybrid: 3 days site | 2 days home Reporting to: Senior Quantity Surveyor The Role Project Quantity Surveyor role on a major construction project delivered under NEC4 Option C (Target Cost). You’ll own the day-to-day commercial management of the project, controlling cost, change and applications, allowing the Senior QS to focus on strategy, recovery and senior negotiations. This is a hands-on delivery role for a QS who is strong on Option C mechanics and change control. Key Responsibilities * Day-to-day commercial control under NEC4 Option C * Managing Defined Cost, CRF updates and forecasting * Leading EWNs, NCEs and Compensation Events via CEMAR * Coordinating CE pricing, records and submissions * Supporting and overseeing Assistant QS and QS commercial inputs * Preparing and supporting monthly applications for payment * Maintaining robust, audit-ready commercial records * Working closely with site, planning and engineering teams Experience Required Essential * Quantity Surveyor experience on complex construction or infrastructure projects * Strong NEC experience, ideally Option C * Confident managing change and cost in a target cost environment * Experience using CEMAR or similar NEC systems Highly Desirable * M&E background from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor Alternatively Considered * Infrastructure or civils QS with strong NEC Option C experience * Experience working in safety-critical / regulated environments * SC clearance held or obtainable Rate & Contract * £400 per day Outside IR35 * Higher rate available for the right candidate * Long-term contract on a major project * Hybrid working arrangement Who This Suits * Strong Project QS or Senior QS operating at delivery level * Comfortable owning commercial detail rather than strategy * Used to working in regulated, audit-heavy environments * Wants an Outside IR35 NEC Option C role with longevity Ganymede is committed to creating a diverse workforce and is an equal opportunities employer.
