Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking to work on major infrastructure and energy projects in The West Midlands?

We are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier 1 infrastructure contractor delivering high-profile energy and transmission works. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term framework environment supporting substations, overhead lines, cable works and wider civil engineering packages within a regulated infrastructure setting. The wider business operates across major UK infrastructure and construction markets, with strong capability in energy, rail, highways, water and nuclear.

This role would suit a commercially strong Quantity Surveyor with experience in NEC3 or NEC4 contracts, subcontract management, CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations), cash flow forecasting, change control and final accounts. Familiarity with contract and commercial management systems such as CEMAR and COINS would be highly advantageous.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of infrastructure projects from early contractor involvement through to delivery and close-out. You will work closely with operational, engineering and procurement teams to ensure strong commercial control, risk management and accurate reporting across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing subcontractor procurement, administration and commercial performance
• Preparing and maintaining CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations)
• Supporting cash flow forecasting and cost reporting
• Managing compensation events, variations and change control under NEC contracts
• Administering applications, valuations, payments and final accounts
• Supporting project delivery teams with commercial advice and contract compliance
• Working across live civil engineering and energy infrastructure packages
• Building strong working relationships with internal teams, clients and supply chain partners

Requirements

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within infrastructure, civil engineering, utilities, energy, rail, highways, water or related sectors
• Strong NEC3 or NEC4 contract knowledge is essential for infrastructure-led work
• Experience with CVRs, cash flow forecasting and final accounts
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar commercial discipline preferred
• Familiarity with CEMAR and COINS would be highly desirable
• Strong subcontract management and commercial reporting capability
• Ability to work collaboratively within a project team and take ownership of key commercial activities
• Experience within energy, transmission, substations, overhead lines, underground cables or other regulated infrastructure would be advantageous, though strong civils backgrounds will also be considered
