Quantity Surveyor

Fawkes & Reece are looking for Quantity Surveyor to support commercial duties on a construction project. The role involves managing costs, assisting with procurement and maintaining accurate commercial records.

About the role of Quantity Surveyor

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will work as part of the project team to support cost control, valuations, subcontract management and reporting. The position involves working on commercial or civils schemes depending on project requirements. You will assist the commercial lead and ensure all documentation is maintained in line with project procedures.

Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor

* Assisting with the management of project cost plans

* Preparing valuations and applications for payment

* Assessing and processing subcontractor accounts

* Preparing variations and supporting commercial reporting

* Maintaining accurate commercial documentation

* Liaising with site and project teams regarding financial matters

Requirements for Quantity Surveyor

* Relevant surveying or construction qualification

* Experience working as a QS on construction projects

* Strong understanding of commercial processes and documentation

* Competent with standard software and measurement tools

* Good communication, organisation and attention to detail
